THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
In patients 12 years and older, Botulinum Toxin Type A (Nabota) is approved for the treatment of blepharospasm associated with dystonia, such as benign essential blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, or VIIth nerve abnormalities.
The use of Botulinum Toxin Type A (Nabota) to treat strabismus in patients aged 12 and up is recommended.
In adults, botulinum toxin type A (Nabota) is used to treat spasmodic torticollis (cervical dystonia).
Botulinum Toxin Type A (Nabota) is used to treat dynamic equinus foot deformity caused by spasticity in children with cerebral palsy who are two years or older. In adult patients under 65 years of age, botulinum toxin type A (Nabota) is suitable for the temporary treatment of glabellar lines associated with corrugator and/or procerus muscle activity.
Botulinum Toxin Type A (Nabota) is used to treat spasticity in adults, especially stiffness caused by a stroke.
The treatment of axillary hyperhidrosis with Botulinum Toxin Type A (Nabota) is advised.
Adults can use Botulinum Toxin Type A (Nabota) to temporarily enhance the appearance of upper facial rhytides (glabellar lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles).
